Built as DV class (1898 - 1906) they were recoded to CV in 1910.

Unbelievably these turn of the century vans were still in high speed passenger service in the late 70's/early 80's

It appears that CV's 1 and 2 were built with the eleptical roof style as shown in the pic below, other CV's had celestory roofs.
