HR workshop parts transfer

HR's were used to ferry parts between the major workshops: Newport, Nth Melbourne/Sth Dynon, Jolimont, Bendigo and Ballarat. Some were used between a workshop and tip or contractor. They were used to transport all sorts of things: couplers, wheels, engines, bogies, brake blocks to name but a few. They were always hand-me-down wagons that were usually cut down from a revenue wagon that had reached the end of its life. | ||||||||||||||||||
