Ballarat C box controlled the junction of the Maryborough and Ararat lines as well as the interlocked gates for Macarthur Street. Circa 1900.

The box was enlarged in 1927 to allow additional levers A, B, C & D to be provided in conjunction with the provision of the works depot siding. The photo below was taken in the early 1980's. The installation of 3 position signals on July 24 1992 made the box redundant although it still stands.
