OC sand hoppers

Between 1962 and 1967, 81 O and ON's were fitted with roofs and loading hatches for sand transport and recoded to OC. (O/ON numbers retained.)
ICI had a large glass manufacturing plant at Spotswood and sand was shipped there from Koala Siding on the Korumburra line. Bogie JSX/JSF's took over this traffic from the OC's in the mid to late 70's. |
