LP 2 at Newport workshops in 1961. LP 2 ex LL 28. Note the addition of pass. bogies, a taildisc and letter "P" in the corners to denote ability to run at passenger train speeds. In 1960, 10 LL's were fitted with pass bogies and recoded LP, with numbers 1 -10, this enabled them to run attached to passenger trains. I do not have any info as to how common their use on passenger trains was. In 1974/75 they were fitted with regular roller bearing bogies and recoded to LF.
